Osun 2018: Akinbade gets ADC ticket

A former Chairman of the PDP in Osun State who came third in the governorship primary of the party, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade Akinbade, has been presented with the flag of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its candidate for the governorship election.
ADC National Chairman, Chief Ralphs Okey Nwosu, who presented the flag to Akinbade in Osogbo, the state capital yesterday, urged the people to reject the APC and support Akinbade to be the next governor of the State of Osun.
Chief Nwosu also presented a retired judge in the State, Justice Olamide Oleyede, as the deputy governorship candidate of the party.
He said the duo were suitable and committed to serve the people and move the state forward.
The event was attended by top politicians in the state, including a former Governor of the state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
Speaking at the occasion, Akinbade promised that all outstanding salaries and the pensions in the state would be paid within his one year in office, if elected.
