Olujimi congratulate the new Regent of Iworoko-Ekiti, Princess Adebola Aladejana
Senate Minority Leader, Senator Biodun Olujimi, has felicitated with the good people of Iworoko Ekiti on the installation of Princess Adebola Aladejana as the new regent of the town after the transition of the late Alaworoko, His Royal Highness, Oba Samuel Olufemi Aladejana, who joined his ancestors, recently.
The revered octogenarian monarch who died on Wednesday, 16th January, 2019, has been succeeded by his eldest daughter, Regent Adebola Aladejana, in line with the prescribed traditional rites.
Senator Biodun Olujimi who spoke through her Special Assistant on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sanya Atofarati, said that the role of traditional rulers in nation building cannot be overemphasized.
Olujimi said that traditional institutions must restore their dignity by taking their rightful place in the society for national growth.
She urged Regent Adebola Aladejana to emulate and build on the good works of the late Oba Samuel Olufemi Aladejana.
“Oba Samuel Aladejana left an indelible mark in the history of Iworoko Ekiti as a peacemaker and a bridge between diverse people of Ekiti State.
“As you sit on this throne of your forefathers, may your reign bring peace, harmony and greater development to the peace loving people of your kingdom. I join your family, the good people of Iworoko kingdom, friends, protégés and well-wishers to ask God to guide, guard and give you wisdom to lead,” she said.
