The Nigeria U-20 team sealed their qualification in style on Saturday at the Agege Stadium in Lagos as they thumped their counterparts from Mauritania 5-0.

The Flying Eagles scored two goals in the first half and did more in the second half to confirm their superiority over their opponents.

It was Wasiu Alalade that put Nigeria in front in the 12th minute with a shot from a goalmouth scramble.

After a flurry of missed chances, the Flying Eagles doubled their lead after the half-hour mark through Nafizi Yahaya.

Yahaya scored with a cool finish after being one-on-one with the Mauritania Goalkeeper.

Yahaya continued from where he stopped in the second half as he made it three for Nigeria few minutes after the restart.

The goal scoring spree for the Flying Eagles continued in the second half as Okon Aniekeme made it 4-0.

The fifth goal was from the penalty spot.
