Fayemi: You have no excuse for failure in office- Babatunde Agbeleye

The National Democratic Liberty Party (NDLP) Candidate in the July 14, 2018 governorship election in Ekiti State, who is also the Chairman BOA foundation, Mr. Babatunde Oladapo Alegbeleye has called on the newly inaugurated Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, to switch to action forthwith. In a statement signed and released to the pressmen, he stated that Dr. Kayode Fayemi has no excuse for failure in Office as the current governor of the State. The statement further said, Dr. Kayode Fayemi as a former governor of the state, a former member of the Federal Executive Council, is expected to have possessed an already prepared personal concrete blue-print for the betterment of Ekiti people before assuming office hence, no excuse for failure.

The Chairman, BOA foundation in the State, Mr. Alegbeleye frowned at a statement credited to the governor during his inauguration Thanksgiving Service in Ado Ekiti, the State capital, where he said he’s not a magician that could perform wonders before the people of the state. Alegbeleye said, such statement is undiplomatic, blundering and insensitive. He goes further that, Ekiti people are not expecting magical performance but a total transformation, as promised by him to the people of the State, during the electioneering period.

In the said statement, Mr. Alegbeleye goes further that, “what is expedient at this critical time is for the governor to take the wellbeing of the already impoverished people of state as a priority, according to him, “Dr. Kayode Fayemi should take full payment of salary arrears of the civil servants without deduction, payment of gratuities and pensions for the senior citizens, creation of an enabling environment for entrepreneurship, particularly for our teeming youths as more important and far-reaching so that frustration, depression, downheartedness and gloominess could be ceased to be no more amidst our people, “Alegbeleye stated.”
