Akwa Ibom: Gov. Udom revamps ICT Centre in AKSU
Known for his dexterity and penchant for education, Governor Udom Emmanuel has yet again intervened, as the ICT center of Akwa Ubom State University wears a look.
The newly acquired 200 computer systems have been installed in the ICT Center, ready for use by students as from the next academic session, which begins January, 2019
Most of the computers are ‘all-in-one-piece’, and are fitted with high speed internet for students to access international journals, books and other resources.
Before the end of this week, the ICT Unit will also take a delivery of additional 100 Apple Computers, valued at about N400,000 each.
According to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Eno Ibanga, the University intends to completely phase out low-end HP products and gradually introduce High-end products like the renowned Apple brands, that are more rugged and have longer life span before 2020.
